The name America is the most recognizable name on the face of the planet. The name has so many different meanings to so many different people. The fact of the matter is, everyone more or less falls into three categories when it comes to America. You love our beautiful country, you hate our beautiful country or you wish you lived in our beautiful country.
America the Beautiful
Having said that, there is one more realization that we as Americans must be aware of. America is on a collision course with self-implosion. As you may know, history always undoubtedly repeats itself. As great as our nation is, it is not immune to this inevitable truth.
Every American remembers September 11, 2001. It is the day that we realized the gravity of the disdain that so many have for our country. The months after that horrific day also showed us that we can still be America.
We had a record number of young men and women who simply enlisted for no other reason than to protect this great nation. We remembered that we are a nation and we acted upon that notion rather than letting it wallow in sentiment.
America the Brave
If there is anything that this horrific event taught us, it is this. When those who would do our country harm boarded those aircraft, they did not do a head count and issue out free passes. There was no census conducted to determine who was Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Italian, Irish or any other racial category.
Those who wanted to destroy our great nation did not ask if we were Republican, Democrat or Independent. Nor did they ask if we were a Feminist, Survivalist or Racist. They did not ask because it did not matter.
The only thing that matter to those wanting to destroy America, was that each and every one of us was an American. That is the plain and simple truth. So, the lesson here is equally simple. If it does not matter to them, why does it matter to us?
America the Proud
It is for this very reason that our nation is on a collision course with self-implosion. As I stated earlier, history always repeats itself. That history I am referring to is the fact that throughout history, every great civilization ended. Their end was almost exclusively attributed to self-infliction.
